So the first dice I ever purchased.  I believe it was way, way, way back in 1985 at the Walden Books in tiny Hermiston, Oregon.  I don't recall the price, but I want to say they were around $5.00 which would be like a $15-20 pricetag on dice now.

All that remains of that set is .... 



No recollection of what brand they were, the packaging, or anything.  They've been in the chest o' dice ever since I was a kid.  Though their number has dwindled to this ...

She's going to get hurt by that bow string. :)
I remember how early D&D dice used to loses their edges after frequent use. I still have an old (30 yrs) D20 that is now mostly spherical. :)

Yes I have some dice like that too that are newer actually. These have survived rather well. I think its because I used them early on and then quickly got new sets over the years they just sank to the bottom o' the bin. The plastic feels really different from the newer chessex and crystal caste dice that I have pounds and pounds of these days.
